Who to contact

Pigeon Pals is an independently developed game. This notice describes how the developer handles information for the Pigeon Pals gameplay beta. For support, privacy questions, or deletion requests, email pigeonpals.support@proton.me.

Your game stays in your browser

This gameplay beta has no game account, real-money purchases, advertising SDK or installed analytics SDK. Game checkpoints, preferences and local diagnostic information are stored in your browser. The game does not upload your saved loft during normal play. It makes requests to its host to load the game files.

Continue uses the same browser and exact play address. Clearing site data, private browsing, a different browser or a different address can make progress unavailable. Settings → Export copies the last successful checkpoint, not unfinished daytime play. Export before clearing storage if you want to keep a copy. Uninstalling or clearing the browser may also delete local diagnostic information.

Optional feedback

New optional feedback route: Quick feedback and bug reports through Tally. You can submit without an email address, game account or screenshot. We receive only the answers and files you choose to send; Tally also processes service/security data under its privacy policy and says form data is stored in Europe. Optional contact permissions are separate and unchecked: one clarification question or one beta follow-up. Neither signs you up for ongoing updates. Reports are read by the developer, who may use third-party software tools to sort and summarize them. We do not request saved games through this form. For deletion without an email identifier, provide an approximate submission time and a detail identifying your report. Tally may retain deleted data in backups for up to 90 days.

Email is optional; you do not need to contact us to play. When you do, the project receives your email address, message, mail metadata and any attachments you choose to send in its Proton Mail inbox. We use this information to answer you, investigate problems and improve the game. We do not use it for advertising or sell it.

For a bug, include the build from Settings, device/browser, steps and what happened. Screenshots are optional. Hide personal notifications and other information you do not want to share. Do not send passwords, payment information or sensitive personal details.

Do not send a full save or raw log unless support explains why it is needed, what it contains, who will review it and when it will be deleted, and you agree. Ordinary feedback is read by the developer, who may use third-party software tools to sort and summarize it; nobody else has access.

The planned retention period for identifiable beta feedback and screenshots is until 90 days after the gameplay beta ends, unless a specific issue requires a separately explained arrangement. De-identified issue summaries may remain. You can request earlier deletion by email. Local game files stay under your control; providers may separately retain operational or security records under their policies.

Anonymous play counts (from September 25, 2026)

To learn whether people who find the beta actually get past the first day, the beta pages and the game send a few anonymous counts to our own endpoint on Cloudflare Pages. We do not create or send any identifier, and we do not store IP addresses or browser details. Each count is sent at most once from your browser, remembered by small flags that stay on your device.

What one count contains: which milestone it is (first visit, a daily visit, a new game started, the first tutorial lesson finished, the first in-game night reached, reaching in-game Day 2, 3 or 7, or playing again on a later calendar day), which page, the in-game day, the link tag your browser first arrived with (for example ?src=x-x01, or the referring website's name), and whether the browser looks like a phone or an in-app browser. The game's saved loft is never uploaded: the page only reads the save's small index (game mode and in-game day) inside your browser.

Counting is off when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. To switch it off yourself, open this link in the browser you play in (open this one to undo). The counts are kept while the beta runs and deleted within 90 days after it ends.

Hosting and email providers

The public beta is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes request metadata such as IP address, browser information, requested URLs and access times to deliver and protect the site. We have not added a third-party analytics service, advertising tracker or session replay; the only counting is the anonymous play counts described above. Hosting is not a backup or cloud-sync service for your saved game.

Proton Mail provides the support inbox. Sending ordinary email is not a promise of end-to-end encryption between every sender and that inbox. Providers may process data in countries other than yours. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and Proton Mail's privacy policy for their handling of service and security information.

Tracking and notice changes

We do not use advertising trackers or collect browsing activity across unrelated websites. The anonymous play counts are switched off when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Hosting providers still process the service and security request information described above. We have not installed third-party advertising, cross-site tracking or session-replay tools.

We will post changes to this notice here and update its effective date. Material changes to data collection or use will be highlighted on the beta information page before the changed practice begins; where required, we will seek consent. You can request access, correction or deletion of feedback by contacting the support address.

Your choices and age

This beta is for adults aged 18 or older; we do not ask for a date of birth or identity document. This limit is not an app-store age rating. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact support so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of personal information, object to its processing, or complain to a relevant privacy authority. Contact the support address to make a request. We may ask for only the information reasonably necessary to verify that a request concerns your correspondence.
